Giorgi Kldiashvili is a founding member and Director of the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI). He has over six years of experience working on good and democratic governance. Giorgi has been carrying out projects, studies and assessments for different international organizations and foundations. He is the director and coordinator of existing projects at IDFI. Giorgi Kldiashvili is an author of a number of publications related to freedom of information, anti-corruption policy and good governance, accountability and transparency, e-Governance and e-Democracy, civil service and public administration, media and internet.

In addition to his work in applied policy research with IDFI, as a historian by specialty Giorgi Kldiashvili has academic credentials as a researcher, undertaking studies in American and Soviet Studies. He is professional archive researcher, working in the history archives of Georgia and internationally for more than a decade. He holds graduate degrees in Contemporary History Tbilisi State University (TSU) and worked as a professor of American Studies at the Institute of American Studies in TSU.

Giorgi Kldiashvili is the co-Chairman of the Open Government (OGP) Georgia’s Forum. Giorgi is fluent in English and Russian.
