MALOU MANGAHAS is executive director of the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism, a pioneering nonprofit launched in 1989. She is a veteran of Philippine journalism, served as a Nieman fellow at Harvard University, and has worked for various newspapers and news agencies based in Manila and overseas. She has worked for radio (briefly as a program host) and television (as executive producer of Debate, and as co-host of Palaban). Until recently, she was the first editor in chief of gmanews.tv, while working as Vice President for Research and Content Development of GMA News and Public Affairs, on top of conducting training seminars for the network’s journalists.
