Chihhao Yu is Design and Technology Lead at Watchout, a congressional news media and democracy lab in Taiwan. Contributing to the collective task of building a Taiwanese Nation, he works at Watchout to critique and renew journalistic organization, processes, and to build a network of tools and systems that informs and empowers Taiwanese political deliberation and participation.

Chihhao builds communities and advocates for collaboration. He is an active contributor to g0v.tw, acplg.tw, and a founding member of biomearts.net. Before his work in Taiwan, he was an adjunct professor at Rhode Island School of Design where his research and pedagogy were to explore the politics and power of working together at the crossing of code, activism, and art.
